Just a quickie. Instead of painting from the actual subject matter this was painted from the study done at the allotment, which allowed me to be looser. Who knows where this might end..(abstraction? insanity?)

Its another dodge, to trick the mind into letting go of all that detail. I’m using a real mix of paint brands and some current favourites are Daniel Smith and QOR. Smith’s do a beautiful rich transparent orange and a rich natural red (transparent pyrrol orange and perylene scarlet) and QOR a transparent red oxide

Keep painting wet; then add more paint, then more water, then more paint, more water ….
