Something a bit more abstract based on an old sketch I had of the delicate wildflower/weed Capsella Bursa Pastoris, or Shepherd’s Purse. Using cerulean blue, transparent yellow (PY150) quinacridone violet, raw sienna, perylene red (PR178), transparent pyrrole orange (PO73), and perylene green (Pbk31). The perylene green is listed as black (handprint.com), it’s a single pigment, transparent and gorgeous deep green, which you could mix from maybe three other more common pigments, including black (though I love a good shortcut). I’ve used a fat wash brush to start, then flat acrylic brushes of varying sizes.
