Using transparent yellow (PY150) cadmium yellow (PY35) cobalt blue (PB28) and vandyke brown. Starting with a large makeup brush from the local pound shop, then a favourite Chinese brush from Louise at Oriental Arts and the detail on the stalk done with a sword brush. The spotty texture is created with drops of water applied as the surface goes from shiny wet to damp sheen. I bought this squash from Slindon Pumpkins in West Sussex en route to a teaching weekend at the beautiful West Dean College. It’s become a bit of an annual pilgrimage!
I love these demos – many thanks!
Hi Kate,
Thank you for sending the two video workshops! They are brilliant …..and I can’t wait to get started again!
Unfortunately as my dear mum has recently had to move to a Nursing Home ……I will have to go over to Ireland on Saturday……sadly missing the first session this coming Monday! All being well however, I will be with you …..ready to go on Monday 3rd October!!
Look forward to seeing you then!
Best wishes Rosie x
